Overview
About Me
I grew up and lived most of my life in Germany. After finishing studying in Stuttgart I moved to Waco, Texas, to work on my Ph.D. That's where I have been for almost four years now.
I am a rather quiet person not going out too much (however, I do sometimes ;) ) Prefer to play games and do sports with friends in my free time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up because I am going to Japan for two weeks and would like to see a lot of the country and meet some people as it is my first time in Asia.
Always like to hear something especially about other cultures. Have met a lot of international students in the past and I am happy to make my own picture of the world independent of the media.
Hope to host some couchsurfers in future, too.
Interests
I am interested in outdoor sports. Have been hiking in Scandinavia and as well other parts of the world. Since a couple of years I have been doing a lot of rock climbing, which is my primary hobby right now. Have been doing some mountain biking as well and I am generally interested in many sports.
Except for that playing games with friends or having a good BBQ are things I like to do.
Except for that interested in Astronomy, Space, Technology, the World and probably some more things :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tried to climb Fujiyama at night during a typhoon with a friend. Unfortunately we failed and had to find shelter in a restroom trying to sleep on a toilet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not a great cook, but I can certainly share some German food :) As well started to make wine a while ago.
Will of course share as well what is to see in Waco (which is unfortunately not too much ;)). So you will probably end up going to play some disc golf, go climbing and play some poker or so.
