Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Michael, I'm from London. Creative type. Like to read books, go to gigs, make music and be in nature. I've been studying Japanese and intend to learn either Spanish or Twi next. Look forward to meeting new people around the globe. Share ideas, create, volunteer, laugh, eat and drink.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always use travelling as an opportunity to connect with people. Rather than staying in hotels or renting out an airbnb, I'd much rather get involved with a family or group of people and immerse myself in their culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment, I'm listening to: James Blake, Darkside, Joni Mitchell, Rotary Connection, Motohiro Hata, Mr. Children and SZA.
Reading a lot of fiction at the moment. Currently: The Healers by Ayi Kwei Armah/ Next: What Belongs To You by Garth Greenwell.
I rarely get to watch films because if I'm not reading I'm practicing Japanese. The last one I watched and enjoyed I think was Call Me By Your Name.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English or basic Japanese. I'd love to learn other languages too. And an exchange of ideas and values in general, is usually an ideal night in.
