I'm a friendly, dozy, warmhearted, occasionally annoying guy who lives in a wonderful village with Kateřina my wife and 3 boys, Robbie George, Danny boy and Theodore. We have no internet, TV or radio which has helped me regain faith in humanity, trust and people generally being nice to each other.
Despite being a teacher, I actually enjoy listening more than preaching, especially people from all age groups throughout the world which I'm constantly getting to know.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I must say that Couchsurfing seemed a strange concept at first and I imagined it was geared towards young people on a low income. Since hosting Couchsurfing parties I realised that it's great for all age-groups and it's a great way to meet people with similar interests, my one being the Fine Arts. If I'm passing through Udine for one night, what better way than stay at the atelier of a like-minded painter (maybe exchanging a painting / drawing) and even visiting a show together if the opportunity arises rather than staying at some soulless Ibis hotel. Since becoming a member I've realised that Couchsurfing is much, much more than saving a few euros on a hotel.
