Overview
About Me
I work in printing in the United States (posters, flyers, stickers, mail, etc), but have spent the past 6 months teaching English in a town called Ubrique (Spain). Next spring, I hope to move to Taiwan to teach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is a far more enriching experience to stay with locals rather than stay at a hotel. The connection with local culture is more accessible, and there is a great possibility to establish new friendships.
I hope to open my lodgings to others, as soon as I am settled somewhere again.
Interests
Yoga, running trails, spending time in nature. 3D design and printing. Books!
Music, Movies, and Books
A lot of jam band, folk, and classic rock from the US. I get down with the techno and house, like some old school hip hop also. Always curious to discover new music.
For books, I am currently reading a lot of classic fantasy/supernatural literature- Lovecraft, The King in Yellow, Poe, HG Wells. Reading the Masters of Rome series by Colleen McCullough.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
First thing that comes to mind- two years ago I drove across the United States, in a school bus that was converted into a monster truck/RV (4wd, lifted, big tires, bed and other furniture). Was a great month!
Teach, Learn, Share
Talking about various sustainable farming and living techniques interests me. I have worked on and off on farms for years, spent time wwoofing, and hope to eventually buy my own land.
I hope to improve my French, and perhaps begin with another language. I can help with your English, and continue practicing on WhatsApp after we part ways.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am clean and friendly. Happy to cook food for us, can bring a few beers and a smile on my face.
