About Me
Hello!
I'm from Cardiff and officially based there but as I work in film and theatre I'm often working in London, which was my home for the past 9 years so I can also give you plenty of tips if you're heading that way!
Naturally I love making movies/watching movies/debating movies and generally creating and collaborating. I love the freedom that comes with the freelance lifestyle. I grew up in nature so I feel more at home in the forests, mountains, oceans and I especially love being around animals. I absolutely WISH I could host your dog as well, but sadly there be rules :(
I'm into yoga, swimming, meditation, playing guitar, writing, reading, and cooking up some tasty vegan grub. I also love football, live music, and more than anything else, being around friends.
I've just come back from a road trip across the US and feel juiced up for the next one, wherever it may be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because meeting people is the best thing about travelling and I've met so many amazing people couchsurfing. I've inter-railed around Europe, back-packed around Asia, and road-tripped across the US a few times but always used my friends' profiles - I now have a place in an amazing location in Cardiff so would love to return the favour to any travellers passing through!
Music, Movies, and Books
Shortlisting favourite movies is SO difficult but here's a few recent-ish films that blew me away:
Raw, Whiplash, Moon, Nightcrawler, Victoria, Her, The Lobster, Force Majeure, Moonlight
My favourite books would probably include Shantaram, Norwegian Wood, The Secret History and 1Q84; and my music taste is super diverse but at the top right now would have to be Muse, Christine And The Queens, and anything by Nils Frahm and Clint Mansell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Booking a last minute flight to Asia and 3 days later finding myself enrolled on a 21 day silent meditation retreat in a Buddhist temple in the hills of northern Thailand, living with monks, nuns, wild dogs and giant-ass bugs.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn new languages, how to make your favourite meals from home, any martial arts or outdoor sports like kayaking and rock climbing -- in exchange I could cook you a tasty vegan breakfast fry up, teach you some photography or film-making skills, or maybe a bit of Flight of the Conchords on guitar :D
