About Me
I'm just a boy, standing in front of a computer screen, asking people to love him.
Hey there!
So, probably you have figured out my name by now but just incase, I'm Michael!
I'm 24, studying medicine (yes, with the intent to become a doctor.. You have no idea how often I get asked what I hope to do with that...) and am just for the first time travelling alone. Which is scarier then I thought it would be.
I'm visiting places briefly, as there's a lot I want to see in such a short amount of time. This is why I think the couch surfing philosophy suits my travel superbly. Staying with likeminded locals I think will turn my otherwise lonely experience into a shared one.
I'm a ball of fun, but I'm neat, clean and respectful. I'm also not a serial killer, which is a good thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have just been introduced to this couch surfing concept - and what a brilliant concept it is! Since I am travelling alone I think it would be a great way to meet people, build networks, and hopefully see everyone when they stay at mine in Perth, Australia!
I also feel like a local would be able to offer the best advice on where to actually go in a city. Moreover, travelling is so expensive, and not many people can afford to do it - at least not where I am from. Hence why this is my first trip to Europe. This is a great way to afford people the opportunity to see the world and I want to be a part of that.
Interests
The most obvious thing I can thing to say is I like staying healthy. That is quite important to me.
Other then that I am pretty typical. I enjoy being social, pretending like I know a lot about wine (I just drink the stuff), and learning things - I once heard that knowledge is power so I want to know as much as I can about everything. Not that I am power hungry, of course, I just find a lot of things interesting.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a friendly person, who is looking to share experiences with people - whether it be a beer at the pub, a cooked meal, or a tour of a museum, I'm not entirely fussed. I'm just excited, and grateful, to be overseas.
I can't cook very well myself, but I can manage an omelette so if breakfast is your thing?...
Otherwise I am pretty into fitness so if there is a gym nearby, and you feel like working out, I can easily guide you through some decent sessions just to mix it up a bit.
