Overview
About Me
I'm from Cincinnati, OH but I moved to Idaho in 2016 because I wanted mountain bike trails within minutes from my house. Moving to Idaho was a temporary decision at the time but I'm having too much fun exploring these mountain ranges and don't plan on moving from Idaho any time soon.
Mountain biking, backpacking, rock climbing, hiking, camping, yoga, trail running, nordic skiing, all that stuff outside. I like playing guitar, mandolin, and banjo too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm more interested in seeing smaller towns and doing outdoor activities than renting a bed in a hostel in bigger cities. Walking around cities is cool but I prefer hiking or mountain biking. Also Couchsurfing is a lot better for integrating with locals and learning more about a place.
I'm also interested in meeting fellow travelers coming to Idaho who want to stay with me so I can show them this area that I love.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am a software engineer and a former biologist and both are subjects I enjoy talking about.
I can teach about traditional music from the United States (especially old-time and bluegrass music) but want to learn about traditional and contemporary music from the countries that I am exploring. I think folk music is a great way to learn about a culture. Also, I love being outside and learning and seeing natural places.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a bad cook but I know a few jokes.
