Overview
About Me
Other folks have described me as funny, smart, kind and tall. I agree that I am tall. I like to dance improvisationally, and to have dinner with friends. I have two jobs: I fix and improve people's houses, and I do therapy (I talk with folks to help them live their lives more fully).
I have been deeply influenced by the practice of Zen Buddhism. Zen and therapy have improved my life more than anything else I've done. I'm deeply grateful for both.
I grew up in the Northeastern part of the US, and now live in the mountains in the south. I love it here. My favorite part of living in Asheville is the community - people here really are trying to make the world a better place, and mostly by resolving the conflict within. One way that we do that here in Asheville, is to dance together, in a non-judgmental setting, on a regular basis - SO FUN!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel, and I like to host. I share a home with 3 other folks, one of whom is also a couchsurfer. Sharing Asheville with like-minded folks from around the world is a joy for me. Likewise, whenever I go someplace new, I find it almost always better to connect with folks who live in that place, and get to know it on the human level.

What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice home to stay in (couch to sleep on), located in a nice neighborhood just a few minutes from downtown. A great network and knowledge of the area. Great suggestions of things to do and maybe even some accompaniment to some of those wonderful places/events.
