About Me

I'm friendly sociable and enjoy doing new things and meeting new people, I like to travel when I have the time/money, I am polite and helpful but also keen for some drinks if the occasion calls for it, or you know, whenever :p

I've been described as disorganised, and that is beyond doubt, but, disorganised doesn't mean unreliable and I am loath to fail a commitment I have made, so, if I actually HAVE a plan? I will do everything I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been recommended to me by lots of people I know as a cheap way to travel and a good way to meet people, ideal

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music is hard, I like almost anything, from classical and jazz, through pop and rock and on into techno and house, it depends on my mood and my company, but, my brother left me a lil be traumatised with poor drum and bass, so, that'd probably be my last choice, not that it can't be pleasant too so...

Films, I don't watch tonnes, but, in recent years I've probably mainly watched marvel? Or whatever is on when I run out of stuff to do, realistically I mainly watch the adult cartoons "Archer" and Rick&Morty so, for a favourite film of all time? I'll struggle and throw out fight club as a get out of jail free.

Books, well, I read too much, have since I was teeny tiny, mainly fantasy, and recently, mainly Chinese and Korean translations with a spread of webnovels, but, though good, they can't compare to Steven Erickson's malazan books of the fallen, which are, in my eyes, the best epic fantasy currently written, fighting talk eh? :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Erm, taught English as a foreign language for three months in Cambodia?
I feel amazing is a high bar, so, I'm unsure what to put,
I've counselled a lawyer (non professionally) for a couple of years now, perhaps not as exiting but in some ways even more challenging and rewarding

Teach, Learn, Share

I clearly need to look at some other people's accounts to see what they put under teach share learn, I wonder when I will ^^

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel like I should try and sell myself, which, feels odd as I'm English, but, ploughing on

I am charming, helpful and have a broad worldview, people often mistake me for someone far more traveled than I am, which is flattering in it's way, I can, and do, get on well with almost anyone, young or old, and love meeting people who think differently to me

I can and will help and support a host if desired
