Overview
About Me
I spend most of my time on the Ecuadorian coast, living with my girlfriend at her small surf/yoga hostel 🏄♂️🧘♂️🏨 - a simple and stress-free life, just the way I like it 💪🤙
I used to pursue a career in the city, but the stress led me to reprioritize life, so I swapped financial banking for surfing religiously, and realized how much better life gets when you follow your passion (😲). I might not make half the money I did before, but my life is centered around who and what I love, and then everything else matters very little ♥️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love authentic experiences, seeing places from a local perspective, instead of relying on Tripadvisor for planning, and sightseeing with other travellers. Couchsurfing has given me some of my best memories, and I much prefer to spend my money on a beer on the street with a local instead of eating dinner in fancy restaurants!
Interests
🏄♂️ I started surfing while on a study exchange in Australia, and I haven't looked back since. Surfing has become a bigger and bigger part of my life, and nowadays, a day isn't complete without a few hours in salt water 🌊
🎸🥾⛰️ When the sea is flat, I like to play music, go hiking, or try on a new skill, whatever it may be :)
🌎👨🏫 I'm also very interested in what's going on in the world, and I have a need to try to make sense of things, which often can be difficult in the crazy world we live in, but also makes for interesting conversations, often forcing me to change my perceptions.

Music, Movies, and Books
While my music taste is pretty broad and I enjoy anything between jazz and house, I prefer rock, singer/songwriter, and hiphop. I play drums and guitar myself, and my biggest concert experiences have been with Mumford and Sons, Muse, and Counting Crows.
I would give a limb to see The Black Keys live and maybe a finger to see Damien Rice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have always enjoyed adrenaline a little too much for my own good, but so far I've been lucky to escape both being chased by saltwater crocodiles in Australia 🏃♂️🐊, diving with bull sharks in Fiji 🤿 🦈, and find my own way on self-guided hikes in the Andes mountains 🥾🏔️
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to share anything I can, and I can teach you some Danish, show you a c-chord, explain what I know about how the best coffee is made, or engage in some interesting conversations and discussions 🇩🇰🎸☕🗣️
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a very respectful, non-smoking, considerate, clean, and polite guy, and I always try to make my stay as a guest noticed only in positive ways 🚭🧽🙏 If the dishes suddenly are clean, that could be me pitching in where I see an option 🍽️🧼🫧
I'm also happy to share stories, have engaging discussions, share beers, and if I'm flying out of Ecuador, I can bring you a pack of some of the best coffee in the world! ☕🗣️🍻
