I moved to Vancouver from LA for work a little over a year ago and so far I really like it except for the rain :) I have an artistic job in the film industry. I've worked on 18 movies and have been lucky enough to work with talented people from all over the world and because of that I have friends and colleges in most countries. I was married for 20 years but I am now divorced. I have two wonderful kids that will soon be off to collage. They do not live with me but they do come to visit for a week or two at a time. I'm fairly outgoing not too shy, I enjoy nature destinations, socializing, meeting new people and good conversation. I also enjoy movies, music, TV shows, video/board games, room escapes, karaoke, bowling, archery tag and sculpting from time to time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Over the past year I've been hosting friends that come to visit from outside the country and I find that when I'm hosting I do more sight seeing, hiking, partying and just have more fun because I have others to share the experience with. When I'm alone I don't get out much so I hope couchsurfing will get me out more.
Vancouver is beautiful with lots of nature destinations close by, I'm interested in exploring and would prefer having others to share the experience with.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's way too hard to pick favorite movies. I like the first three Lord of the rings movies, Fight club, Pulp-fiction, Fifth Element. Some recent movies I enjoyed are Mad Max, Logan, Baby Driver. I like all kinds of music. I really like two piece band like White stripes and Black keys. I also love classic rock

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to learn about working on film or Tv onset or post production I can help. I can also give you info on sculpting. I also enjoy learning about astronomy, astrophysics, and quantum mechanics. I can't do the math but love discussing the concepts :)

I have a guest bedroom with a queen size bed and clean sheets. I can also give you clean towels, soap, ect. I have a full kitchen with new appliances that you are welcome to use. My apartment only has one bathroom so we will need to share. I have a large TV with Cable/HBO, Netflix and high speed WiFi. My apartment is clean and safe and my building does not allow pets. I have a Mustang convertible that is awesome during the summer. I would be willing to drive to some nature destinations. I don't let anyone drive my car, it's my baby :) I live in a great location close to downtown. Plenty of public transportation 10 min walk to both trains, short walk to bars, restaurants, grocery stores and much more. I will not allow a guest who is staying with me to invite someone else to stay, for example if you are staying with me and meet someone on tinder you can not invite them over for safety reasons.
