I grew up on a cattle farm in a small town in Colorado. I joined the US Navy straight out of high school and met my wife while stationed in San Diego, California. I finished my four year enlistment period last August. I am currently working as an auto parts assistant store manager until my wife finishes her degree in Mathematics this Spring. She is also a real cowgirl, working on a horse ranch. After our summer trip to Europe, we plan to move back to my hometown where I will go to automotive school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing with my wife to meet new people as we travel through Europe for the first time. We want to be true "backpackers" through Europe and experience as much as we can, making the most out of our trip by meeting locals.

Interests

I love classic cars and working on vehicles. My wife and I both love the outdoors. We enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing. My wife has always loved her time working on a horse ranch while going to school.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of music. Some of my favorite movies are Boondocks Saints, Stonehearst Asylum, Tremors, and Lego Movie. My wife and I love many TV shows including Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, and Walking Dead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived onboard an aircraft carrier while in the Navy, deploying overseas twice during my four year term. The first deployment was 6 1/2 months long and the other was 9 months. It allowed me to visit most of the countries I have been to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge and stories of growing up on a farm, and my time spent in the military. My wife knows a lot about horses and can share her stories of working on a ranch and growing up in one the most popular cities in the US, sunny San Diego, California.
