It´s interessting to meet new people and couchsurfing is more personal than to sleep in a hostel.
I´m interestet how local people live their life and make new experience. :-)

I grow up close to the alps, thats why i like to go hiking, snowboarding, biking and do all this outdoor sports and be in the nature :-)
