About Me
Hi! I'm a seasoned stateside traveler doing some of my first trips around the world (currently headed to SE Asia for a second time, with a previous trip to the Middle East and India under my belt). I'd imagine it's a little cliché on here to say that you're a chill and low stress person, but regardless I certainly am. I'm originally from Chicago and have lived all over the US (Kentucky, Indiana, Washington, California) and have been in Philadelphia since 2008, where I'm currently living with my girlfriend in the Newbold neighborhood.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Quite a few years back I did the low-tech version of couchsurfing.com via a loose network of DIY punk kids and activists, who graciously housed me while I was roaming the country. I'm not quite as plugged in to that network these days and would like to set my sights a little wider, and would be happy to accommodate folks at my place in Philly when I can.

Last February I visited the Hell Garden in Chonburi Thailand, it's a bunch of statues depicting a particular sect of Buddhism's Hell, located an hour and a half bus ride outside of Bangkok.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a big fan of the whole "web 3.0" thing that's going on right now, which is a movement to re-decentralize re-democratize the internet. I'll happily talk about this at length and can probably teach you some basics if you're interested!
What I Can Share with Hosts
And as mentioned above, I'm happy to teach you some cryptocurrency basics. I'm also particularly good at booking REALLY cheap travel (my trip from NYC to Abu Dhabi a few years ago cost $240 round trip, and the trip I'm about to take from NYC to Cebu, Philippines is setting me back $175) and can share some tips on this, too.
