I am an American living in Germany, My main goal is to learn more about the people and places I travel to. I have lived all around the US, in Hawaii and now Germany. I caught the travel bug a few years ago and it has stuck with me ever since. I am pretty laid back guy who was closed off and sheltered for many years, but I am bursting out of my shell and enjoying every minute of the experiences life is giving me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from around the world, see life and the world from their perspective. I want to be immersed in the culture when I travel and to see and experience it from a locals perspective. In doing all of this I hope to become more open minded and cultured, it will also aid in better conversation with anyone I speak.

Interests

These seem to change weekly, I do enjoy the bar scene only if it is with friends, A night in with friends playing cards or preparing a meal is just as good.
Like most others on here, Travel, I spend a lot of time making the hardest decisions in my life, where to travel to next!
During the German Summer's I enjoy the festivals and cultural happening that go on all around Germany.
I am not much into TV, but a good movie is a great way to unwind.
I really enjoy walking around a city and getting lost, no itinerary, no plan, just imagining how the city was at its founding up to present time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, Top 100, old school country, reggae, island music (hawaii), some hip hop, some r&b, I can list to most anything if the company and setting is right.
Movies, I am a Rom-com fan, action and drama. Horror movies are not my thing as I have a very active mind and over active imagination.
Books, Number one hands down best series, Robert Jordans Wheel of Time Series! How to win friends and influence others, The art of small talk. I am currently trying reading all the great American classics as a personal goal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being able to fly around the Hawaiian islands for 3 years, and seeing the Whales breaching from above the untouched beauty of the Napali Coast, and all of the beautiful water fall hikes was an amazing experience, one that infected me with the travel bug.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about a boring subject like flying, its rather dry. If you visit and its nice out, American BBQ on my smoker Grill. I am not master but I am not bad.

Learn, I am an open journal that is seeking to have its pages filled with memories and experiences from around the world.

Share, I can share my house, my culture, my manners and my smile. I enjoy cooking so if you stay here expect to eat well. If I am visiting I am a very neat, respectful person that wont be a problem. I can share my experiences of flying low all over the world, pictures from a helicopters perspective.

I can share stories from all over the US, help with planning a trip, foods to eat, places to see, and not to go! I love conversation, I will talk your ear off, or listen to your stories until the sun comes up. I am well mannered, older mature guy who will respect all rules and wont get out of control drunk.
