About Me
Hi
I was born in Dniepropetrovsk in Ukraine. My mom moved to Belgium when I was 7 years old, and I've lived in there eversince.
For the past 3 years I've been organising parties in Antwerp - mostly underground electronic music - but I decided to give that up to focus on my studies. Right now I'm studying philosophy with a minor in sociology in Ghent, where I now live and work. I have many interests and hobbies; I study the drums, I love reading poetry, fiction and non-fiction, I love discovering new music and I love DJing with vinyl. I like long walks, throwing a frisbee around, spending time with my friends in a bar smoking cigarettes until 5 AM, I love dancing in a club or on a festival and I love deep and honest conversations. Oh and I love eating and cooking healthy for other people.
Hope that covers my personality a bit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't think I'll have a lot of money in my life; I'm just not that kind of person. Besides, I love to meet people abroad. I think it's one of the most valuable experiences that a human can have. It creates perspective and builds empathy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my current trip in the US, on one of the first days here my cousin drove us to the Spiral Jetty. It's a man made form on the salty flats on the north-eastern side of The Great Salt Lake. I remember it very clearly, after a loud and bumpy ride I opened the door and the silence was deafening. I heard nothing. And the silence became more and more pressing with the setting sun. It was a really spiritual and humbling experience to see The Great Salt Lake, stretched out as far as the eye can see, and to hear nothing but your own heartbeat.
