ABOUT ME

I've been a professional pianist most of my life, but on June 1, 2012 I quit all my jobs, sold all my things and now am going to travel the world full time. I hope it doesn't suck!

PHILOSOPHY

Basically, I think that we have a limited amount of time on this planet and I want to make the most of what I have. Most people my age would love to travel "someday", but there always seem to be a reason why they can't do it right now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I hosted, my friends would often say that they couldn't believe I would do something so "risky" as letting strangers into my home. What if they turn out to be crazy psychopathic knife wielding lunatics who ransack the house, steal all the money and then drool all over the furniture? The funny thing is that once they met some actual CSers in real life, they started asking " How can I start doing this too" and two of them joined!

Interests

Like most CSers I have a strong desire to experience other cultures of the world and learn about their customs and points of view. Other big interests are music, art, history, and encountering the weird and bizarre.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favorite music: Beatles, Beethoven, Gershwin...Blues, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Vintage Soul...I like to learn about all kinds of music especially if it is a type I am unfamiliar with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a tattooed walrus that could play Lady Ga Ga songs on the bagpipes while riding a skateboard and smoking a cigar. Not really...I just made that up. I guess I'd better start seeing and doing some incredible stuff soon so I can have a real answer....
