About Me

Hi, my name is Michael.

I'm a recent graduate of the University of Michigan and I'd consider the most recent years to the best of my life. Following my graduation, I moved back to the city of my birth, Detroit, MI.

I'm involved with a number of projects designed to improve life in the city and around the world, from shrimp farming to handmade backpacks. Want to hear more? Just ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My roommate has a couchsurfing account and we recently recently had six couchsurfers (from the other side of the atlantic) stay with us. Originally, they only planned on staying one night, but one night turned into two, and two nights turned into three.

We had a blast. It was an awesome experience. Soon afterwards I realized that I definitely needed to create and account for myself. Here we are.

Interests

Mostly, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. It doesn't really matter what we're doing. I enjoy good company.

I love being physically active. Mostly that involves sports. Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Football, Running, Yoga, really anything that keeps me physically active.

I'm really down to try anything new at anytime. If you have a good idea for an activity, I'm game.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A little bit of everything. I spend most of my time listening to piano music, not necessarily classical but I enjoy that too. Kanye West is my favorite artist. Big motown fan. Recently, I've been dipping my toes into Deep House and have been liking it so far.

Movies: Too many favorites to count! But City of God might be my favorite.

Books: Also too many! But I think that "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is a book that everyone should read, we'd live in a better society if everyone did.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Dominican Republic, Italy
