About Me
GENERAL
New short-haired spider enthusiast who is always eager for new experiences and meeting new people.
DAY TO DAY
I grew up in southeastern Louisiana loving snoballs, crawfish boils, and realizing that anything is fair game on Mardi Gras. Loving New Orleans so much, I decided to go to university there, too, where I study biology and medieval history. Specifically, I research spider-deer interactions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I'm unable to accept guests, as I'm in student housing in New Orleans.
While staying with others, I hope to contribute to their household and also to share stories of my own while hearing the stories of my host. The ultimate part of traveling is meeting people from varying locations and backgrounds.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this, but looking forward to gaining some experience. The greatest part about traveling is meeting new people from varying cultures. Through Couchsurfing, I aim to exchange ideas, opinions, and interests with both hosts and those staying with me.
Interests
I used to long-distance run and am game to still do it, occasionally (and provided the distance isn't too long!). Hiking is my true passion, and I would hike every day if I could. Every day outside is a good day to me. I enjoy going out to bars/pubs, especially if there's live music. Living in New Orleans, live music and drinks are always valued! And so are hole-in-the-wall coffee shops. There isn't anything that tells of a city's culture better than their coffee shops.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conducted four months of field research on spider communities of Southeast Louisiana... essentially, I crawled around in the forest collecting spiders for four months. It was the best job in the world!!
