My name is Michael, I'm 22 years old and I live in Vienna, Austria. But I guess you may know that, as you hopefully read it at the top of my profile.

I moved to Vienna in 2015 for studying, but I originally grew up in a small town in the Alps in the middle of countryside Austria. So I hope I can not only show you around Vienna, but also give you some impressions of how much more there is to explore in this beautiful (but small) country!
I am a passionate climber and mountaineer and try to spend as much time on the mountains as possible.

I really do believe that the best way of traveling through a country is to get in touch with locals - and to become friends with them. It opens unique possibilities to see the country through their eyes, and to understand the people.
Through Couchsurfing, I met some really good friends and travel buddies, who I had awesome times with.
Its all about meeting new people and share experiences, isn't it?
I'd love to hear about other cultures and what life looks like beyond boring(?) Europe!

I'm very interested in sports, especially mountaineering and climbing.
One of my hobbies is taking pictures with my DSLR, mainly landscape & nature.
I also like to play Pool or just to hang out and have a few drinks in a Pub with friends.
