Did 20 years in the Army, got out as a Communications and Electronics Maintenance Warrant Officer. Married and divorced (we get along better now than ever!) 3 kids- boy girl boy 19,17, 14, and goofy collie that is my companion named Howie. After getting out of the Army I found that I don't like "working" the last 3 years I have tried alot of different "normal" jobs and I have not found happiness there. Trying to figure it out still, I love to travel but yet I got obligations to my kids so we'll see once everyone is out of high school, till then...who knows. Just realizing that life is short, its a journey, and I am not going back to being miserable or surrounding myself with miserable people. I'm a jokester, always have jokes, 420 friendly, beer is good too, like to sweat, canoe, hike, explore. I'm a scuba instructor during the summers and have a passion for it YET I live in backwards mountains PA where most people wouldn't think is a good for diving but ya just gotta go out and find a spot in the river, a clear lake, quarry or whatever and you ain't gonna what whats down there till ya go. That's being a modern explorer I think, its a great feeling knowing that I may possibly be the first person seeing an underwater landscape.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in Hawaii for 3 years and heard of couchsurfing back then and I just always thought it was a great thing and I hope to help people out in the near future with putting a roof over their heads and I plan to use the service as well one day while traveling. My oldest son is in the Airforce and getting stationed in Germany in a few months so I plan on taking a month or so and bouncing around Europe for awhile.
