I am a Software engineer (haven't been doing much programming recently anyway, plus it sounds cooler ^_^).

When i'm not Software engineer-ing, i like to read (all sorts of stuff), thinking up fictional universes, work out and learn new stuff (mostly languages).
I also like applying maths where it probably doesn't belong and automating things. Just for the mental gymnastics involved in doing so, if anything

I'm the kind of person that looks up the definition of nerd and geek, then decides that he fits somewhere in the intersection of that Venn diagram.

Will probably try anything at least once, and possibly more times, depending on how it rates on my (black box) fun-awesomeness scale.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have inertia :)
I want to travel more; but i find the initial stages of deciding to plan a trip to be a stumbling block. I like travelling and seeing new countries; but i find it hard to get in motion. I hope that having a connection on the other side will reduce that.
Also, being with locals when visiting a country is a whole different level from "seeing the sights", has a different feeling of "belonging"

Music: I listen to quite a lot of different musical styles; but my favorites are rock and metal, preferrably mixed with classical instruments and great vocals. I also like covers of anime/Disney movie theme songs; which i pretty much grew up on.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: more of a joint learning experience; but i'm open to share what i know about anything; i'm pretty handy with .Net programming, languages and Roleplaying game systems :)
Learn:I would really like to learn wintersports (all flavours), i never had the opportunity to learn when i was younger; more languages (always interesting). Skydiving ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

In return for a place to stay and good company; the very least i can do is reciprocation;
