About Me

Hey!

New to the Couchsurfing community, I'm very excited to enter this people-orientated culture. I'm an avid traveller who loves to learn from people and explore new cities. I currently live in Chicago with my girlfriend, having moved here from England last August.

I was born in raised in Liverpool and studied Modern Languages at Newcastle, which allowed for lots of language-centred work. Aside from languages and travel, my main interests are Football (Soccer), Film, Philosophy and fitness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To explore new tourists attractions on your own can sometimes feel stunted. Open minded and friendly people can really take you to the heart of a new place and create experiences that become unforgettable. I'm aware that life-long friendships can be formed very quickly with a combination of kindness, flexibility and adventure.

Couchsurfing attracts these kinds of people and I'd like to provide a new experience and new friend for someone out there.

Interests

I love to play and watch football and have done all my life. I feel very at home on the football pitch and could talk for hours about the game!

I live an active life in general and like to get out and fill my day with different activities, bike-rides, running or exploring what a new city has to offer.
I love to be in nature and enjoy hiking and camping and would love to become more experienced at organising my own expeditions.

I love to cook for people and enjoy food in good company and to talk around the table.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching and discussing new films. My favourite film is American Beauty and I really enjoy Christopher Nolan's work.

I like a range of different music types and am always open to discovering more. Favourite artists include The Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Alt-J. I'm always interested in learning of new foreign artists as well.

Reading feels like a solid life-hack - as long as you have a book with you, you'll never be caught waiting for a train or appointment with nothing to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year living abroad last year in Peru and Guadeloupe to improve my languages. I have lots of stories to tell about this and other times travelling and I love to hear about other people's experiences abroad!

Teach, Learn, Share

I fully believe you can learn something from anyone. An open mind and genuine friendliness go a long way in that sense

What I Can Share with Hosts
