About Me

It's a 'we' - not a 'me'.
My fabulous darling, Kirstin is my anchor. She's a few years younger than me and acts as adult supervision.
We're both entrepreneurs who have traveled widely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love people - we love Cape Town - we want to introduce the two of you.

Interests

Right now - I love science and am very interested in its impact on society.

If you want your ear talked off - start talking about swimming to Kirstin. You're also on dangerous territory if you broach mention of esoteric matters (yeah, I know... the science thing... we don't talk much :-)
Actually - if you talk about just about anything to Special-K - she'll be happy to keep chatting all day. It's wonderful.

Oh - in theory I'm very active and like being out, hiking, surfing, etc. It just hasn't happened in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books

From Classical to Rock - anything that indicats the musician had actual musical talent.
Put another way - I'm not very musical, but if the musician / singer does a worse job than I could do - I don't like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got to 51.

Teach, Learn, Share

We've covered Kirstin - she'll talk about anything.

I'm such a nerd that (when I was single) a pickup line might be something like: "Did you see... they found gravity waves!"
And if you can teach me something beyond what I know (which isn't a lot), you'll never get away.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are all African and once you've visited your roots, you'll never again be happy - you'll forever more be a victim of its heavy gravity, pulling you back again and again until you succumb and immigrate.
It's just how it is.

Seriously. This city has 10 days worth of exploring within its boundaries; and that's without the next 2 weeks you'll need to begin to enjoy the immediate surroundings.

Hey - when you get a finger of mountain range jutting south, dividing two great oceans, you just know you're in for a culinary, visual, social and historical feast.

Don't delay - Africa is waiting for you.
