About Me

Hello,

I'm Michael, I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. My work has been in community gardening and mental health. I've a particular interest in fruit trees/orchards. I also teach banjo and guitar.

I'm a big music fan. I play the banjo and like old-time fiddle music as well as folky stuff from the UK. Also a keen hillwalker and cyclist. I'm a lapsed vegan trying to get back on the wagon.

I'm a respectful guest/host, good at cleaning showers, quite good at cooking and very up for fitting in around a hosts' routine. Up for a bit of adventure, staying up late around the fire sharing tunes but just as happy with an early night (being quite tall, I benefit from a lot of sleep).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did some travelling in the US last Summer and benefited greatly from Couchsurfing. I met some really good people who were good enough to put me up in their homes. I like to have a bit of an unplanned adventure when I travel and get some good advice on where the best vegan food is.

I've hosted many friends and passing travelers over the years, though not yet through CS. I think I make a pretty good host and have a home to offer up in a great little corner of the world.
