My name is Michael, and I am originally from Vancouver, Canada. Last summer, I quit my job, sold most of my possessions, and started travelling in September. I felt unfulfilled and unmotivated doing the daily 9-5 grind, so I made the decision to quit to go travel the world.

I have always been a creative and entrepreneurial person, but lost that drive when I picked up a corporate job. Part of the reason for travel, was to explore, seek inspiration, and refocus myself to pursue creative endeavours. Before I left for my trip, I purchased a camera, and learned how to operate a manual video camera and edit videos. I've been creating and uploading videos to YouTube during my travels. I recently became a vegetarian/pescatarian (vegetarian + seafood) and I wanted to travel the world to discover amazing food that does not have any meat.

My friend's and family would describe me as outgoing, passionate, caring, generous, and very kind. I have a big heart, and I love to give, help others, and make people laugh.

Many of the places I have visited since I started travelling, have been to the cities and countries where my family members are from. I made it a point, to visit these places, because I wanted to learn about my family history, to gain a new perspective about my background and heritage.
