About Me

I'm a teacher, a writer, and an artist, among other tools in my tool box. During university, I studied Sculpture and Writing. Following uni, I worked as a theatre artist (scenic designer and makeup artist), English teacher, freelance writer, figure model (for art classes), and barista. Now I'm doing that thing where people sell everything they own and move to a new country where they barely speak the language. Let's get coffee?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Overall, I'm curious about other cultures and places (surprise, right)? More specifically, or immediately, I'm moving to Madrid for year to teach English. From August 5th - 19th I'll be in the city searching for an apartment and am in need of a place to stay, but would love to turn this into an opportunity to make new friends and see the city from your perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books

Creative nonfiction, fantasty, historical fiction... Some favorites include:

The Song of Achilles.
The Time Travelers Wife.
The Argonauts.
The Empathy Exams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a senior in high school, I won a national award for my collection of sculptures. I went to New York city and got to stand on stage at Carnegie Hall. Literally all I did was walk and bow with the other national winners, but it was one of the most validating experiences of my creative life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I absolutely love to cook! I would definitely be willing to make a meal in exchange for a comfy place to sleep. I can also help you practice your English, if that's of interest. And a drink is always on the table, haha.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
