About Me

Hey! I am an IT student who loves to travel and meet new people from all over the world!

I am currently starting my Master's degree studies as a programmer, but this summer I'm staying in Minnesota until September. After that, for the first half of October I want to travel all over California, and finish my travels by staying in New York for a couple days before returning to Europe. I am planning to go to Finland for the upcoming spring as well to study on a Finnish school for one semester.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Straight and clear, it is a great way to meet interesting people along the way and the cheapest way to travel.

Interests

Travelling & meeting people, of course!

Other than the obvious ones, I like basically any kind of sports, be it regular sports, computer games or board games. I also occasionally go to the gym (for about 7 years, no hardcore lifting though!). I like reading, running, spending time outside, and trying every kind of food there is.

I've also visited some music festivals in the past, mostly electronic music (drum & bass), but I really like all genres, as long as the song is good of course!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genres are psychological/fantasy/historical/sci-fi and a comedy . The movies that really standed out for me lately are these:

Seven
Interstellar
Source Code
Red Cliff
Reservoir Dogs

I also like reading books, the last book I really liked was Terry Pratchett's Equal Rites, or some of the Warcraft books, I am reading Egyptian Sinuhet by Mika Valtari right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent a night in a Japanese buddhist temple with a view to the bonsai garden, including a traditional vegetarian dinner and breakfast, trying an onsen spa and attending a buddhist morning ceremony while travelling in Japan for 3 weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Czech or English, my language repertoire includes programming languages as well, so if you are interested in something like that, we can talk about it. I also have a lot of experience with working out in the gym, so I can help you with working out.

I would like to learn Chinese, and I would be also interested in Russian or Arabic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences from travelling in 3 continents (so far), as well as pictures. I can also offer my IT knowledge to help you with those annoying problems your computer has.
