Overview
About Me
Hi.
I'm Michael (well, you probably already knew that from my profile title, silly me.). I normally spend most of my time in Nuremberg, Germany where I study for a fancy degree that has got the word "international" in it.
At the moment I'm living in Málaga in beautiful Andalucía and enjoy life (with a bit of studying). I've also lived in England before.
Apart from that, I really enjoy meeting interesting people, beautiful landscapes and cycling on my roadbike (normally in beautiful landscapes!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, you already know that I like to meet interesting people, but actually I have a very concrete reason to be here!
When I am finished with my courses in Málaga, I'd like to cycle all the way back to Germany. 2764 kilometers. Wow. And since I'm still a poor student, I would love if some of you could host me at some point during my trip!
So, if you are a couchsurfer somewhere along the Spanish mediterranean coast or somewhere between Montpellier and Dijon in France, chances are that I'll contact you!
Interests
- Cycling: I only got my roadbike last year, but I really love the opportunities to see stuff while cycling and spend time on the road!
- Reading: As much as I can possibly fit in my schedule!
- Tech: While programming might be a job soon, I think I can still file it under interests right now.

Music, Movies, and Books
Difficult:
- Music:
Electronic Music: Melodic Techno (e.g. Innervisions), Deep House (think Soul Clap, Katermukke, Suol), more experimental stuff (Amon Tobin, Moderat,...), I also like lots of different Indie bands (Last of the Shadow Puppets and the new Radiohead album are in my playlist a lot recently )to an eclectic selection from classical music to dub reggae and much more.
- Movies:
Just as difficult... in no particular order: In Bruges, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Shining, Midnight in Paris, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Pulp Fiction, a few dark Danish commedies where I only know the German titles, the blood and ice cream trilogy, Fargo, Gran Torino and many more I can't think of right now...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was nine years old I flew from Germany to the United states accompanied by just my cousin (who was 13 at that time) to visit our aunt.
I think that's the origin of my drive to see the world :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Any languages I speak well enough to teach, cooking and a few nifty computer tricks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversations (I have rudimentary knowledge about many things and an avid interest in anything else)!
I would argue that I'm a fairly decent cook! :)
And you can always come visit me in Germany!
