Overview
About Me
Did a degree in law in Oxford, England, worked as a corporate lawyer in Paris for six months, then worked on death-penalty appeals in the USA for a few more. I'm moving to Rome for a few months from the start of September to start a legal internship with the UN World Food Programme.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet new people: in Paris, I lived in a flatshare with one Ukrainian, two French people, a Brazilian and a Swiss lady. I stayed with a bunch of different people in New Orleans.
The specific reason I signed up to couchsurfing is that my internship is badly paid, and it's difficult to search for affordable accommodation long distance. I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the first few days (I'll be at work on weekdays, but around in the evenings and on weekends) while I get things figured out!
Interests
I like cooking, eating, travelling, singing, listening to music, playing piano, dogs, following US and European politics, trying to do some good in the world, if that's not too much of a bullshit thing to say.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too much of all to say - for books, Neil Gaiman to F. Scott Fitzgerald to J.K. Rowling/Robert Galbraith, and many things in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent six months living in Paris, diving into a different culture and learning decent French basically from scratch. Helped defend people against the death penalty in Louisiana.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would love to practice my French with someone and would love to learn Italian (don't speak it at all yet).
