Overview
About Me
I recently realized that I like having guests so I figured this would be a nice way to meet some people and entertain a little. I recently moved into a nice neighborhood with a lot of stuff to do so I'd like to share the experience. My schedule allows for some freedom and I am a single dad but the small human is with me part time so no worries there. Otherwise, I'm an educated professional guy.
Some stuff that I get into is cooking (bit of a foodie), do it yourself stuff, thrifting to find furniture to refinish and little projects, biking and working on them (years of working in a bike shop so I rebuild old bikes), painting (canvas...and walls I guess), some nerdy stuff like pop culture whatevers and a little bit of comics and superheroes etc. But I'm an adult with a nice home and don't live among action figures and stacks of comics. I think I'm a renaissance man. That sounded a little douchey but I'm owning it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to entertain and have guests periodically and I also plan to start travelling soon so...here we are.

Repeat from above...

Music, Movies, and Books
I like some 90's rock, a lot of newer stuff like American Authors, Bleachers, The Heavy, Asteroid Galaxy Tour, some pop, some old motown, a little rockabilly, whatever catches my attention.
Movies and tv are sci-fi, superheroes, oddball sitcoms and DIY shows.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a break back in college and drove cross country. Did a little couch surfing myself. By the time I have my first guest I may have gone skydiving. Working on getting that set up.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've seen a lot of good and bad and I think I've realized what is important finally. I'm not a reader really but there is an author, Joseph Campbell that said, "We must let go of the life we have planned as to be ready for the one that is waiting for us." Yes I threw out an inspirational quote but for me, that sums it up well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge, stories, cooking, art, conversation and insight. As I said, I've seen some of the best and worst which provides some perspective.
