About Me

I've lived in Dallas for a little over a year. I am about 15 minutes from downtown and love walking around taking photos. I also like to go for hikes just outside the city or at parks inside the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to meet people when traveling. I think it's important to take in the usual attractions, but I really want to experience a place the way a local does. Along with that, I think it would be cool to meet a new friend while I'm at it.

Interests

To be honest I think I'm due for a new interest every 6 months. Some gain more prominence than others at times. Right now I'm immersed in photography. Even with this, it's an ebb and flow deal, but it's seem to stick. I love walking around downtown and other areas of Dallas and taking photos of places and things. I still haven't mustered the courage to ask people for their photos. Soon though!

I also love to play the guitar. I mainly love to pick it up and play a few songs here and there. I'm not too serious about music; it's more of a hobby.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Folk/acoustic (Joe Purdy, Pete Seeger, Billy Bragg, Alexi Murdoch), Ryan Adams, Townes Van Zandt, Rogue Wave, Sigur Ros, Bruce Springsteen. Basically an eclectic taste in music.

Movies: I really like Wes Anderson films (Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Rushmore), The Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings, Adventureland, Amelie, and many more that I can't think of right now.

Books: John Steinbeck (Cannery Row, The Wayward Bus, Of Mice and Men), 1984 by George Orwell, Into the Wild by John Krakauer, The Green Mile by Stephen King

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My excuse here is that "I'm still young." However, I definitely plan on filling this space up.
