About Me
I am not in a position to host at this time. I am very happy to show Couchsurfers around the area and do some of the same activities that I have done with Couchsurfing guests in the past, which include Kayaking (I supply the boats), hiking and touring.
I have enjoyed being a Couchsurfing host. I have hosted people from all around the world including Israel, India, Iceland, Belgium, China, Colombia, Australia, Austria, France, Russia, Hong Kong,Taiwan, Germany, Kenya, Japan, Ukraine, Ecuador, Poland and Singapore. I love to meet all different kinds of people. I enjoy camping, boating, and hiking. I enjoy hearing about the adventures that my guests have had. When the opportunity presents itself, I like to spend time with my guests, showing them the local sights or going on a hike with them. I even go kayaking with some of my guests. I have had the opportunity to keep in touch with some of my guests. It is fun to hear about their adventures.
I have learned a lot from my guests, as a result I have started to embrace the Vegan lifestyle, although I don’t impose this lifestyle on others and you are welcome to cook whatever you want in my kitchen.
I live in Brunswick which is 30 minutes north of Portland. It is near Freeport and Bath. The Brunswick Amtrak station is 4 miles from my house. http://www.amtrakdowneaster.com/station/brunswick

My first Couchsurfing experience as a guest was across the border in New Brunswick Canada. I had a very nice host, who suggested some great places to bike and kayak. I have since been a guest in New York State and Massachusetts. I feel blessed that I have had wonderful hosts.
I look forward to having more surfing adventures both as a host and a guest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I became a Couchsurfing host in the spring of 2015. It has been an amazing life changing experience for me. I have met some wonderful people from all around the world. I have made some wonderful friends.
To me, being a good host was easy to figure out. I would greet my guests in the same manner as I would a dear friend.
A welcoming spirit, and open mind, fresh sheets, clean towels, a clean home, an offer to show my guest the area if possible.
Couchsurfing has given me an opportunity to share. It has been a very uplifting experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saved a life by giving CPR. That experience motivated me to become an instructor with the American Red Cross.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share the rich history of my area of Maine. I love to show guests some great places to hike, and some beautiful views.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to make a breakfast of Acadian Ployes for you.
But my best experience with couchsurfing has been sharing about each others lives and cultures. What a great opportunity.
