About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am going to travel the world for a couple years. I want to see everywhere I can see and meet people from lots of different places and all walks of life.

ABOUT ME

I'm 6 Feet 2 inches tall. Anywhere from 240-260 pounds. Basically, I'm a big scary looking guy. I only look that way though really. I'm a bit of a book worm and a dork at heart. I like trying new things and going new places. I love almost every food ouIt there and will try anything, no matter what it looks like. I once spent 2 days eating nothing but raw oysters. I like low budget cheesy horror movies. They have to be intentionally ridiculous though. I like all kinds of other movies too, just thought the low budget cheesy horror stood out. I like all kinds of music, a lot of which no ones heard of.

I have been picking up hitch hikers since I was 16. Everyone thinks it's crazy. I've never once regretted it. They say, "what if you get robbed or it's some killer". I always have the same answer. I don't believe there's some criminal strolling down every highway. Bad people are not common place, they are the rare ones. I won't live my life being afraid of anyone just because they are different or strangers to me. If I can help someone, even if it's just giving them a ride, I will. Besides, I'm a big scary looking guy, even though I'm really not. I wouldn't recommend doing that to everybody. I think that mentality is part of the reason CS is appealing to me. I believe people the world over should trust each other more, help each other more, and try to understand each other better. There's no better way I can think of to understand each other than to meet new people and form friendships with them in spite of, no, because of, the differences that we have. There's no more personal way to help and trust each other than to invite people to your home. I think CS is a great, and safe way to do this and I'm really looking forward to the people I'll meet, the friends I'll make, and the new places and things I'll get to experience.

*update* June 2013

I'm not Going To Go Back And Change Anything On Here But I'm Adding This Update.

I've Been Out Of Commission For A While Due To Injuries Which Caused Me To Not Have Any Money For Traveling And In A Position I Couldn't Host In Either. I'm Not 100% And Probably Never Will Be Again But I'm Close Enough. I'm Going To Start Traveling Again Soon And May Be In A Position To Host Soon Also.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just starting out. I don't know where this will take me or how long it will last, but I'm looking forward to the journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had A good time staying with Yasuhide outside of Tokyo, Japan. It was good to get outside of the more touristy areas.

All Of The People I Met In Australia Were Great. The People You Meet Along The Way Are What Makes The Journey Worth While.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn how to speak 3 or 4 different languages so I can communicate with people from all over the world and understand each other better and help other people to understand each other.
