About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet interesting people from around the world and hear their stories....

ABOUT ME

Where do I start?

Well, I ride my bike all year long--through the rain, snow, and sun. This makes me a happier and healthier person. Riding a bike is my fountain of youth. One of life's simple pleasures. However contradicting it might sound, I also love working on old American cars. I have a 1977 Oldsmobile that I love to take on road trips and sunday cruises. They don't make 'em like they used to....

My insatiable curiosity and unending wanderlust keeps me trying new things and traveling to new places all the time. I'll try anything once--well, almost anything....

I make the best Kim-Chi outside of Korea and the best sauerkraut outside of Germany. Making homemade fermented foods is an odd passion of mine.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation; And, moderation of moderation, of course.

Embrace the chaos and let the Universe surprise you sometimes.

You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I host, I try to make couchsurfers feel at home in my house and my city. And when I surf, I try to show my gratitude to my host for taking me in and hopefully creating a friendship in the end....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nothing but great experiences. In fact, many of the people I've met through Couchsurfing, I still keep in contact with and consider genuine friends.

Interests

Biking, basketball, having my dog pull me on my skateboard, urban gardening, fermenting foods, strong coffee and strong beer, beaches in the summer and frozen lakes in the winter, eclectic and eccentric people, fun dogs, dancing, drums, collecting vinyl records, hearing people's stories, and so on and so on......
