Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life, to find meaning, and learn as much as I can
ABOUT ME
I go by the name of Michael, a pleasure to meet you.
I have an immense passion for life and love people who I can share that with.
PHILOSOPHY
I am an absurdist, and sometimes a nihilist, but I view these opinions as freeing rather than restrictive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a strong feeling of indebtedness to those who have helped me and enjoy giving more than receiving. Alas, I do not have my own residence (I live with my parents) and lack the capacity to frequently host others. Still, I can get away with bring strangers into my house on the weekdays when my Mother is away at work. If you chose to host me know that I will do my utmost to make it worth your while :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend Rebecca and I mostly couch surfed in England, but many people offered us a place to stay during our travels through France and Italy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ah, I read so many bloody books, I love them.
Perhaps I shall write a list later, I love conversing about them, and if you enjoy literature (especially classic) there is a fine chance we will get along excellently!
But, here are a few authors to get you an idea of my taste:
Lewis Carroll
Oscar Wilde
Anne Rice
Neil Gaiman
Musically I am inclined towards classical, but my tastes are as variable.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ah, I have experienced moments when the stars all became one, I have experienced passionate love burning hotter than white steel. I have experienced sadness that endeavoured to push my life to its end.
I have waltzed with Dionysus and met myself in lucid dreams,
I have swam with joy up a mighty stream
In dark forgotten nights I have traversed a haunted house
and played a song for piano by the composer Richard Strauss
I have met an emerald Wizard, bathing by a spring
and bequeathed a stirring stick to a man, who needed no other thing
These are a few moments that come to mind when awe is the stated theme.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have an intimate knowledge of Western Philosophy and Classical Literature.
