ABOUT ME
I love life. Sometimes it's less than fun and sometimes it's awesome :) I'm taking the good with the bad. Currently, my goal is to see as much as possible and meet as many fun and interesting people as possible. I guess my goals are the same as everyones... but I'm not giving in and certainly not giving up anywhere along the way.
My blog is thatoldlukesmile.com
PHILOSOPHY
Rather die on my feet than live on my knees
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always down to show someone around my city, though I don't really have a city for the moment hahaha. I really love making new friends through this site and would love to have some more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
this isn't couchsurfing but i went to napoli and met this cool dude who found me a place to sleep at night (a univsersity that was taken over by the students). there i met a girl emmi who told me about couchsurfing. then i hosted her and started couchsurfing with people all over the place. now i'm typing on this site.
Interests
i like to hang out and talk about life. I'm really spontaneous, so I love to take randon-ass trips anywhere. My idea of a great time ranges from going ape shit to sittin chillin with a coke, some oreos, and some tv :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
one time me and my buddy got stuck between the lao and vietnam border... his motorcycle broke down as soon as we got our passports stamped out, so we had no choice but to go on into laos with 300 or so pds of metal to drag with us.... in the rain, and i had just crashed my bike as well. it worked out haha as everything does. always carry us currency :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Alright so at the beginning I thought couchsurfing was just a way to save money on trips... I was an ass to say the least. I have learned a lot since then. After staying with people, hosting people, TALKING with people, sharing experiences with people, I learned that couchsurfing is so much more. It's simple and awesome at the same time, and you can make so much out of it. You can make a friend (of course), share stories, talk about city perspectives, talk about the people, the culture, the lifetyle. You learn so much more about the place you are staying at then you would EVER learn traveling on your own! Best of all, you go in at least knowing that the person you're staying with wants you there! It makes it so easy to open yourself up to them!
