ABOUT ME
My friends and family, upon being questioned about their impression of me, I think would reply as follows:
I am a good listener(I do love to get to know people). I have a calm and peaceful demeanor. I can be both introverted and shy while at other times very out-going and unreserved ( this might be due to the fact that my "sun sign" is in cancer and my moon in gemini, which also discloses a mild nerdy interest in astrology). Some friends have found me aloof and mysterious while others, I keep very close, as they know me better than I know myself. Some have said that groovy vibrations tumble out of hand drums when I play (not hit) them. They would say that children take to me(maybe because I am a child as well). I've been called slow (not intended only in intellectual faculties). Many would say I make them laugh. Most would reply that I have an adventurous, exploratory spirit. A number of them would reply that I'm light-hearted (while I wouldn't always agree with them). I've been labeled as self-less (and I wouldn't agree with them). They would say that My eyes are green, they would say my eyes are blue, or they would say neither is quite right. I've been called calculated and controlled. I've been called a Vulcan. Although I don't think they've said it, I think they think I spend too much time on the computer.
Interests
The beauty of nature engages me.
I love to hike, trek and camp. This is done so easily and expansively in the area I fortunately reside. I loved to get my blood moving and usually attract the company of trees for this.
People grab my attention... especially the ones who are so bare, so light, that gaze not in but across the "main stream" of life. Most people seem to love sit at cafés and "people watch". I stare; I have a staring problem. Sorry, people. But I smile when I watch; and then some stare and smile back and this intoxicates one with more energy than the warm cup of roasted bean drink you're holding in your hand. yeah, what happened to eye contact?
I have interest in and have formerly worked in the "natural/green/Eco/alternative building scene.
I love to read, but I'm slow at it, and I'll only read the books you tell me too. "Art" will rapture me, but I seem to be picky; not in the way that I think some is better than others, but some how only few creations really shake me.
I love to spend time with my brothers, Mom, Dad and friends. I am a truth seeker but I do not follow any religions. I spend time at Vipassana meditation centres and I love to volunteer at these as well. Two of my highest aims are to deepen my gratitude for everything in this life and to evolve as a human being.
I like to pick up and play with musical instruments, although I am not really good any particular one.
I am currently spending my time traveling around India, although I'm not one that gets the "bug". I am happily returning home soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After completing my first 10day Vipassana meditation course, I felt that I'd been rendered fresh as an infant. Clear, like a wind-shield washed after an extensive journey through the country, air trafficked with dust and unlucky insects. And a fickle taste of calm that universe must've dwelled in before "Bang"ing.
I Once externally acquired and then consumed the neurologically produced biochemical Dimethyltryptamine; this led to an, although short lived, but very intense entheogenic experience. For me, As far as awe is concerned, this experience is perhaps only surpassed by my birth-which I cannot recollect anyway.
One of my best friends and I, a year or two ago were hiking in the Purcell wilderness of British Columbia. It was late autumn and we had gained some elevation, but were warm from the effort. This particular hike was one that leads to a beautiful meadow area preceded by golden Larch (at this time of year). We were coming upon this scene and having already gained some glimpses of the view, this was enough to suffuse one with amazement. We started hearing a strange undulation of mixed faint sounds. It sort of sounded like a radio in the distance. It sort of sounded like some lonely herd of alpine cattle. After stopping to listen we walked onwards, but stopped very abruptly at the exposition of the haunting moaning sounds. It was two, maybe tree Grizzly bears not thirty meters from us. Only a second or two elapsed before we turned on our heels and "walked quickly" back down the mountain. They were beautiful creatures. They were rough and enormous in appearance; they seemed to be singing some sad song together as they searched for enough food for their great deep slumber.
