ABOUT ME
Hi! I signed up for this site awhile back and hosted quite a few folks from all over the world and really enjoyed the experiences. Now I am on the move for the next 6 months along with my fiancee Stephanie prior to me starting my medical residency training and we are hoping to explore some new locales and meet some amazing people on the journey!
While often busy with medical studies/work I try to balance my those endeavors with fun and exploration. There are so many amazing people and things to learn about in our world.
I am originally from a little island close to Seattle in WA state before traveling to Wisconsin for medical school. Now I am back in the Pacific northwest with a semester open before starting residency training July 2014. Before med school I spent a year in Ecuador doing tropical disease research and then a year in Seattle working in a health center through Americorps. During medical school I participated in an urban underserved and public program in Milwaukee WI which was a fantastic experience and has reinforced my desire to work with those facing significant challenges to attaining wellness. I have two younger brothers who I consider my best friends but who unfortunately I don't see super often as they are in Australia and Africa at the moment. I am engaged to an amazing kindred spirit Stephanie and we plan to get married May 2014 - woohoo! We met July 24th, 2012 and spent the first half of 2013 living and working together in East Timor. I truly relish meeting new people and exploring new places and believe the most valuable aspect of this world are the connections we make as fellow human beings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Delivering medication to people to prevent onchoceriasis... while floating down a river in the middle of the coastal rainforest in Ecuador on a wooden raft made of logs for sale.
2) Jumping off a 50 foot waterfall into a crystal-blue pool along a remote section of the American river in California.
