About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have a beer from every city I visit.

ABOUT ME

Hello fellow CouchSurfers! I'm Michael (or Mike, or Mikey, or any variation of the name) and I am from Philadelphia. I grew up across the Delaware River in South Jersey and went to school in NYC for four years. I used work at a Beer Cafe and enjoy nothing more than sitting back and enjoying a tasty beer at home or at the pub. I have tried hundreds of beers from all over the United States and the world. I am currently in my first year of law school at Temple University. I love to watch soccer and am a fervent supporter of the Philadelphia Union. I tend to be reserved and quiet upon first meeting me, but once I settle down I have no problem cracking jokes, having a good laugh, and getting into some good conversation. I hope to meet some of you soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time out west to the Rockies was a pretty awe inspiring moment. Sitting on the top of the mountain looking around at the vastness of the land was something to behold. Being from the northeast of the United States, we don't have much space or "wilderness". It made me wonder how the pioneers who went west must have felt, how intimidating and impassable that mountain range must have seemed, and how they had no idea what was to come for them when, or if, they made it across.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to talk about linguistics and etymology. I'm no expert, but it is one of the subjects that interests me most.
