Hi there!
My name is Michaela and I come from Slovakia - but you already know that. It´s hard to say where I grew up, cause we moved 5 times - and I already lived 6 years alone at dormitory. Come to think of it, maybe that is the reason why I felt in love with traveling.

Most of the countries I visited during high school, because it made more sense to me to learn rather in the world than behind a desk. When I turned 18 (still at high school), I wanted to go to France for a language studies, but I didn´t have enough money... So I found there a job (au-pair) and decided to go there on my own.

After a few years living abroad I decided to move back to Slovakia, where I currently live in its capital.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don´t like traveling with an agency, staying in luxury hotels and being under pressure of schedule. I prefer to dicover new countries as a local.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What I find pretty cool is that I had never any of my bones broken. But I had concussion, pierced both feet by a nail and a few more not very nice injuries.
