About Me

I'm a 20-year-old student, studying abroad in Leicester, England for the year! I'm working on a physics degree while trying to see as much of Europe as I can. Originally from the US of A, I grew up in Rhode Island and go to school near Boston, where I spend as much of time time outdoors and exploring new restaurants as possible. I love to read, rock climb, meet new people, hike and eat!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet people all over the world, whether it's for coffee and some sight-seeing or culinary suggestions or a place to crash for the night. When I get back home I would love to return the favor!

Interests

I like trying to cook and eat all different kinds of food, travel on a budget, rock climb, hike, and generally be outdoors, and discover new people and places.

Music, Movies, and Books

My most recent favorite book is Far From the Tree, by Andrew Solomon. I'll read pretty much anything- I love books by Jo Nesbø and I'm currently reading The Bones of Paris by Laurie E. King.
In terms of music, I have very varied tastes- I love Twenty One Pilots, Trombone Shorty, the Killers, and Dave Matthews Band.
I haven't seen a movie in forever, but my personal favorite would have to be Despicable Me. I also like sappy chick flicks like Love Actually, and quirky movies like Moonrise Kingdom, as well as TV shows like the Killing and Luther.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer, I worked as a volunteer with a medical brigade in Honduras, translating and assisting doctors. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had and taught me so much about myself, and what I want to do in the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am really good at terrible puns, I can cook very well, and I'm neat! I also know approximately ten thousand animal facts, so if you ever wanted to know how many eyelids a camel has, just ask.
