ABOUT ME

Here's the breakdown:

Currently, I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan.

I've spent most of my life in Ann Arbor, Michigan and absolutely loved growing up in a college town.

I also spent a year in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I learned Spanish fluently and experienced South American high school. Since then, I've come to value an open-mind -- there are so many different ways to live.

If you meet me, you'll find that I am nearly always in high spirits. I have no temper and am extremely adaptable to any situation.

Host when I can. Surf when I can. Grab coffee with a couchsurfing stranger now and again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to do website-less couchsurfing -- through Northern Argentina, and Parts of California.

Now I've hosted several people in Houghton. Great experiences every time. Still haven't surfed with the site.

Zainteresowania

I love the excitement of meeting new people and I especially love the physical buzz I get when I find myself in a good conversation. (It's true, while having a good conversation, your body actually releases little joltz of dopamine). Nearly everything I know comes from someone somewhere, and because of this, I love conversation.

I'm a lover of languages. While learning my second language, I realized that each language has words and phrases used express oneself - words and phrases that don't necessarily exist in any other language. While learning Spanish, I felt like I was gaining even more tools to be myself.

I've been a runner for years, played soccer for years, ultimate frisbee for years, many other sports for however long. Love em. I suppose Ballroom Dancing could be classified as a sport. On that note, I dance Tango, Waltz, Swing, Cha Cha, Salsa, Marenge, Milonga, Foxtrot, Hustle, Jive... etc.

I dabble in a couple of instruments. Namely guitar and ukulele.

Sometimes I watercolor.

Avid tea drinker.

I've recently been getting into film. I've written a few short screenplays using celtx and filmed/edited a couple of them. My latest project has been a music video for Kind and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men.

Once I payed a guy with a machete and a boat to take me to an abandoned island off the coast of the Paraná River in South America.

He dropped me off and said he'd be back in several hours.

To my misfortune, the island was covered in large black/green spiders that were roughly the size of my face.
