ABOUT ME

I like adventures and sharing quality time with the many people I love. Forming new relationships and deepening those already present in my life is my favorite way to spend time.

PHILOSOPHY

My grandfather died in 2009 and I was a eulogist at his memorial mass. It was easy to write his eulogy, because I loved him so much and he was a wonderful human being-- the words flowed without much effort on my part. He lived his life for others and I want to do the same. I'm on a continual mission of self-improvement with the goal of becoming a more loving person. I'd like to become the kind of person who automatically puts others first and treats them with authentic kindness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am yet to have my first couchsurfing experience, but I've heard good things! I can't wait to explore :)

兴趣

I really enjoy trying almost anything new, especially outdoor activities. Going on challenging trail runs and hikes is my favorite! I also like to learn new card games and board games.

音乐、电影和书籍

I like pretty much any movie or book except horror films/books. Anything scary is not for me. I prefer books to movies because if I'm with other people, I'd rather talk and get to know them, and if I'm alone, I don't want to sit still long enough to watch a movie anyway!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I saw kittens being born when I was little.
I also saw my (human) cousin start to be born, but I was young and had to leave to go to school.
I have bottle fed kittens and calves, and have incubated and hatched chicken eggs. I grew up on a farm and have a lot of experience with animals of all ages!
I once shadowed a large-animal veterinarian and performed castration of a bull. Don't worry, he was anesthetized first!
I've also traveled to some pretty interesting places, but people always want to hear about the farming stuff, and I would love to share my love for animals and my knowledge about them with you.

I would like to meet anyone who feels that they are on a similar journey to my own-- the journey to find meaning in the human experience and to become a more loving and authentic person. I'm also interested in meeting happily married couples and getting advice from them about love and spending life with another person. Finally, I'm interested in meeting any teacher, whether pre-K or college. I love teaching and am on a journey to become a professor. I would love to trade stories and learn more about other people's teaching experiences.
