About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get out of my rut and live a little more every day. Be spontaneous and make a wide array of friends who will feed my soul and be wackadoo with me. :) Laughing and wheezing at all of the silliness and softness that can be found wherever you may find yourself.
ABOUT ME
I’m excited about so many things, many of them mundane. Very into creative expression in all forms. I love to befriend new folks and make connections - I find such joy in the humanness of others and really value reciprocity in my relationships.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a mental health advocate and am exploring inner child healing, self-reflection/compassion, and mindfulness. Community for me is HUGE, and CS has been a blessin for that!!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been PHENOMENAL. I've made some long-lasting friends through this site, and memories that make my empath heart swell. I rarely make travel plans since I’m an impulsive gal, so getting to see and experience my surroundings from the perspective of locals is something that I cherish. From cooking dinner to jamming all night long to jogging in the forest to watching movies, I've always felt like I was welcomed and in the company of such incredible individuals - either my hosts themselves or from hangouts!
Interests
Well I bake a ton - I like trying out new recipes and putting together weird flavour combos. I tackle creative projects whenever I’m not abandoning them, dabbling in storytelling/poetry/video work. I'm full of sentimentality so I resonate with the homemade and assigning meaning to any objects. I’m into novelty and trying ALL the things. I do aerial and ground circus for a local troupe, and yes, it’s as wicked as it sounds. A night out with friends complete with amaretto sours is fab, but so is an endless series of naps curled up on the floor. I like hosting oddball themed events, dressing up extra/making costumes, and exploring abandoned areas. I have a lot of absurd tales and will share them with animated zeal.

Music, Movies, and Books
So much for all of these categories lollll.
Music ranges a lot, but I do often listen to indie, electronic, chill, folk. SOHN is one of my all-times. Anything I can space out to or sing poorly along with or have some somatic heal time with.
I like foreign films, shorts, and documentaries. Though my attention span varies depending on the day. Or hour tbh.
I’m into satire, etc. for books - some old faves are Catch-22, The Deer and the Cauldron, Sometimes a Great Notion, Watership Down, 1Q84, and Never Let Me Go.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen some wonderful people who have reached out to me in my times of withdrawal, coaxing me with their words of encouragement and enticing me with plans to go out and have a blast. You meet people in the most unpredictable of circumstances, and it can be so, so special. To me it hasn't been about the event, but more about the willingness of friends and strangers to include you in their lives. The gratitude be wildin'.
Anyhoo... Climbing Mount Misen at dusk/while the sun was setting, or going to Ōkunoshima - Rabbit Island. Making impromptu friends and exploring Iceland with them (doing the Golden Circle tour, hiking up waterfalls, and dipping in natural hot springs!) I’ve done some bike trip treks and have WWOOFed on an organic farm. I've ridden on a 4-seater plane as my friend's first passenger, too. For trivia purposes, I did raise a baby squirrel once (Conkers), and I once wore 11 sweaters for a night, just for kicks. I don’t recommend this.
