About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to remember to take some time to relax and enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

Love meeting new people, especially from other cultures. Also a big fan of playing sports -- soccer, especially (even though I'm not very good at it). Dancing and eating would round up the list.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure I have a set one, but if I had to choose, there are a couple that come to mind: "Know Thyself" and "The Unexamined Life is Not Worth Living." If you'd like me to expound on why I find those two especially consequential, we'll just have to meet up and talk about them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Used Couchsurfing a lot when I did some traveling after graduating. I'm so glad I did because it allowed me to meet some really cool people around the world and in the U.S.

Interests

A few of my favorite things:
-Looking at roses right after it's rained
-Whiskers on cats, especially kittens
-All kinds of kettles but especially bright, copper ones
-Thick woolen mittens fresh out of the dryer
-Earth toned, environmentally-friendly packages, tied preferably with yarn (or some kind of string)

I also love playing sports, reading French literature, dancing and eating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost every genre of music, but I especially love dancing to Latin music -- bachata, salsa, etc. As for books, it's very limited to French literature. (FYI, I consider 'Asterix and Obelix' to be French Literature)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure it's that amazing, but in 2006 I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, got a horn to the gut while challenging the bulls in the arena -- which I admittedly deserved because it was extremely puerile and foolish -- then spent 22 hours travelling to Berlin for the World Cup final.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Italy, United States
