I started my career in Marine Biology but after a few research projects changed hats and now find myself in tech in the city! Country girl at heart though and was raised on a smallholding (ranch), so I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I love being outside.

I'm slowly directing my life towards eventually going off grid, so each year I add new skills to my bow, last year was growing my own veg, pickling, jam making, that sort of thing. But until I make that full shift, I have to spend a lot of my time in the city for work, networking events etc... So I straddle two worlds!

Unfortunately I have to say this - I am my father's daughter and will talk to anyone all day long if they want, and despite repeatedly mentioning I'm happily in a relationship, it has previously been misunderstood for sexual interest. It makes me sad having to remove myself from situations when people have not taken no for an answer. So for the avoidance of doubt, I'm in a relationship and am not here for anything of that sort. I talk to men and women exactly the same way, I'm genuinely interested in you as a person, but that interest does not go any further than that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to love hosting back when I lived alone in a 4 bed house around 2014- I think the most people I had at one time was 7! My living situation changed, met a boy and he didn't like the idea of me hosting, nor being hosted, so I've been inactive for years and I'm surprised my account is still open! Sadly my dad recently passed, and I've now had to move back home to support my aged mum, so alas I still cannot host. But I'm toying with the idea of staying with people when I travel as I really miss this community, meeting new people, and after years of falling into a dead end routine in London I'm missing new ideas and seeing the world with people who know their neighbourhood best! :)

I'm super outdoorsy, love a good hike, I have a horse who is more like an expensive field ornament, I'm getting into horseback archery, I love spearfishing, skiing, honestly just love to be active! I wanna start more things too, kitesurfing etc so if we have enough time, try me I'll be down!

Music, Movies, and Books

Reggae, folk, EDM, techno, melodic techno, tropical house. I love live music of any genre, and I love a good techno night out. I cannot dance to pop music to save my life, but give me a dirty beat and I'm all over it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm terrified of heights and planes, so I did a skydive so I wasn't controlled by my fears. It was insane, genuinely thought I'd pass out from fear. Probably wouldn't do it again, and definitely wouldn't do a bungie jump, but still super glad I broke that fear wall in my mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to say the longest place name in Wales - Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!

I can also teach you to spearfish, and I'm super into holistic/complimentary/root cause health, I read a lot of scientific papers, so if you have any ailment and feel like you've exhausted all options with the doctor, I can point you in the right direction of what could assist you.

I've done a whole boat load of personal development since I was 16, before it became "insta-cool" haha, so I've become quite good at helping/guiding people to find the solution to their problems, if they have hit a sticking point in their life. My friends say I'm wise... I'm not wise. The people who wrote the books I read are wise! I just read them, a lot, repeatedly and I can parrot out the relevant snippet to the problem people present to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a fairly good cook! Also always up for a deep chat and don't take things too seriously so easy going to be around. Easy to please, happy, upbeat but respect personal space and I'm very tidy. Eternal people pleaser so I'll go out of my way to be respectful and be as much, or as little as you need.

I don't have some crazy skill set, and I can't balance on my head. I might make you laugh occasionally though :)
