About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel to every continent in the world within 10 years. I love meeting new people, seeing new places, learning about new cultures and trying new foods.

My goal is to always be open to new experiences so I can always be growing as a person.

ABOUT ME

23 years old, friendly, love swimming and soccer/football.
I occasionally bike ride in Australia but did a lot more bike riding in Holland while I lived in Leiden and studied there for 6 months.

I go skiing every year in Australia (yes we have snow!!) but did a lot more of it in the Austrian Alps while living in Vienna.

I really enjoy catching up with friends and socialising to meet new friends. I have spent half of the last three years living and travelling in Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

I really aim to get the most out of every day. I love feeling that I have achieved as much as I possibly could in a day. Whether that be making a new friend, travelling to a new country, scuba diving, bungy jumping, going for a long bike ride, playing a spontaneous game of sport in the park or anything of the sort.

I hope that I can always be the best person I can be and be as nice to people as I can.

My goal is to live a life surrounded by nice people who are caring and genuine and this way I will always be happy and loving because of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy sports and being active. I'm much more of a person who would get off the couch and see the world and the activities and interesting things it has to offer than watch tv or movies. But, I still like to relax and am happy to chill out.

I am so excited about seeing more of Europe and the world in the next few years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience has not been too vast. I've stayed on many a friends couch throughout the suburbs of Melbourne, and occasionally interstate in Adelaide, Canberra and Sydney. I've also stayed on some Dutch couches in Leiden, Netherlands while I found my feet there.

Interests

I really enjoy playing sport with friends in Australia. Every week I play netball and indoor soccer in two teams. I also do water polo training every once in a while and love going for regular swims.

I love socialising and meeting new people whenever I can. I will always enjoy going out to meet new friends or see old friends rather than spending a night in the house. Unless I can get my friends to come to my house, that's always easier!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading books. I'm a bit of a geek that enjoys reading biographies. I have been recently reading John Howard's biography (4 term Australian Prime minister). But I also make time for more mainstream interesting ones such as Steve Jobs, Obama, Andre Agassi (tennis player) etc.

I like movies on occasion but always feel like I could fit so much more conversation or activities in the 1.5 hours I spend at the cinema, so its for times that I am bored. I really enjoy listening to music as I drive around Melbourne.

Triple J is my favourite radio station and I am looking forward to their top 100 songs of the year countdown on Australia Day (January 26).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving in Australia's Great Barrier Reef was one of the most incredible things I have done. I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful colours the world and nature has to offer.

I have also been twice to the Eiffel Tower, and to Empire State Building in New York, and the Statue of Liberty, Flat Iron building, travelled through Europe and seen the Pantheon and other exciting things!

My favourite experience recently has been bungy jumping in Cairns, Australia, and getting dunked in the lake at the bottom. I also loved skydiving in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to juggle, and to whistle!

I can teach you how to swim (after my job as a swimming instructor in Melbourne) or to play the trumpet.

I know fluent Japanese (I studied it to the end of high school) and would love to learn more Dutch, Spanish, Italian and German (and other languages)!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always a positive person with a bubbly personality and contagious laugh. I'm here to share smiles and laughter and jokes over drinks and food and adventures.

I hope to share my enthusiasm for different places and cultures and learn more about the world and the people in it.
