About Me
Currently backpacking Europe writing a book of travel based poetry. Lots of my experiences and interactions with people are peppered throughout this project. I hope we can make some memorable moments!
Searching for new friends and guides throughout this amazing continent.
I like risk and the space between things. For me that's where the action is. I like nature and art and love and honoring all the good bits that comes along. The bad bits too. I believe in balance. I like exploration and discovery and adventure. I like silence too.
I'm after meaning and honest love and relationships that nurture all of that. I enjoy myth and music and scotch. I like the Twilight Zone. I like stand up comedy. I'm into poetry. I'm into being present. I feel like those are the same thing. I like craft beer. I'm into novelty and would love for someone to show me the secrets of their city.
I spent a lot of time wwoofing on an organic farm on Maui. The humbling nature of living communally combined with adopting total strangers as my new family has made me eager to reach out into the world and see what other kinds of meaningful, heart opening experiences I can pull back.
I feel like couch surfing can be that. The risk taken by both the host and the surfer is the kind of fertile space that breeds magic.
I'm a poet, a performance artist and occasional visual artist. I belive that art is an ongoing conversation with the world. I recently recorded a new album while traveling around the U.S. You can listen to it here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect. To create meaningful relationships that last. To live authentically in a new city. To challenge myself. To remind myself that I have something to offer. To learn new recipes. To meet other travelers. To share my story. To find open mic nights! To create little homes all over the world.
Interests
Poetry, words, pizza, meaning, a good beer.
I'm also really good at finding secret doors. Letting things be what they are. Hurdling obstacles. Eating. Finding the odd in you. Normalizing what you think makes you weird. Being an undetectable houseguest. Holding my liquor. Seeing through bullshit. Making a proper curry. Challenges.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Earlier this year I was invited back to my old high school to conduct a poetry workshop with the students there. Discussions of the creative process quickly morphed to tales about my life and I found myself leading an inspiring discussion of travel and farming and the idea that your life is for you to do whatever you want. That was so damn powerful.
Teach, Learn, Share
The one quote I consistently come back to mediate on is:
"...nature loves courage. Respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.
- Terence McKenna
I feel like this is everything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Discussions about our collective conscious and the interconnectedness of everything.
A warm smile, honest disposition and genuine curiosity of your city. I want to know the history of everything and all the secret spots off the map. I can offer a terrific sense of humor and some stories about my travels that flow from ridiculous to inspiring. I like to talk story. I enjoy communal cooking. This has been one of my favorite aspects of travel. Pouring some wine, turning on music and sharing a kitchen with a friend while we create something delicious together. Food is such an art and one of the oldest ways to share love.
You can count on me to show you new music and be really excited for you to reciprocate. I can offer the true embodiment of CS; to make meaningful, lasting relationships that don't just end when I move out but create a conduit for more experiences as we continue to travel this globe!
Countries I’ve Visited
