About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world while exploring the authentic experiences it has to offer!

ABOUT ME

Currently serving as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in rural Madagascar. I live in a village of about 2000 people. So, my hobbies have become: watching chickens, chatting with my older neighbor about frying bread, and avoiding plagues of locusts. Before Madagascar, I studied Conservation Biology, with minors in Global Health and Environmental Studies, at the University of Wisconsin Madison. I love to learn, travel, cook, eat, and share cultures, so feel free to show me around your city and Ill show you around mine! Y tambien soy Paisa orgulloso. Vamos Colombia!

PHILOSOPHY -
Getting lost is WAY more fun than asking for directions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a couch surfing newbie. I would love to meet new people and share what we can about who we are, where we live, and why we do what we do!

Interests

Anything really. I could talk for days though about culture, language, or food. Also, ex-marching band kid (Go Badgers!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with whale sharks off the coast of Madagascar. They are called Marokitana in Malagasy, which means "many stars." Absolutely beautiful giants that remind you of the night sky slowly gliding into the depths of the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything I can about all countries of the world. We have so much around us and I hope to experience the most I can! Im not talking tourist, but traveler. I want to see the real deal. Monuments and museums are nice, but real people with real lives - there is nothing better than that!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Colombian Culture, Malagasy Culture, Midwest American Culture (Wisconsin specifically. Beer and Cheese, anyone?)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Dominican Republic, France, Netherlands, Seychelles, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, Italy, Madagascar, United States
